초 록

The organic-inorganic hybrid perovskite materials open a new era for developing low-cost and high performance solar cells due to its simple and inexpensive fabrication process, superior optical and electronic properties, and excellent flexibility in material design. The application fields have been recently expanded to optoelectronic and electronic devices including light-emitting diodes, photodetectors, and memory devices. Furthermore, experimental and theoretical studies on organic-inorganic hybrid perovskites have been actively conducted to find optimized material properties for improving the characteristics of each device. In particular, hybrid organic perovskite has attracted attention as a switching layer material in a resistance-switching random access memory device (ReRAM) that has been attracting attention as a next-generation memory.

In this talk, we overview recent progress on organic-inorganic hybrid perovskites including basic structure, synthesis method of thin films, device fabrication, and operation mechanism (with a focus on RRAM). We also discuss the challenges in further enhancing the device performance.
